History

EIPA Eisen Palmen GmbH has its roots in the family company, Eisen Palmen, which was founded in 1900.

Over the course of a century the company has been shaped by requirements and the changing times, developing a versatility that it can still boast today. With the introduction of the EIPA wear plate in 1991, using the EIPA Filler Wire Plus process, the company finally established itself as the most important manufacturer of resurface welding plates in Europe.

Over the following years the demand for weld-clad plates and wear protected constructions grew steadily. As a result, EIPA invested continuously in its highly automated production plants, the latest EDP hardware and software and our in-house laboratory for research, development and quality assurance of EIPA products. Thanks to our vital experience, our understanding of tribology and the essential know-how of our staff, our company has realised its vision of a strong market position in the area of wear protection for abrasion and erosion.
